Amy Gwilliam presents a work in progress performance of .staybless
'What do the Virgin Mary, a blue penguin and a refugee have in common?'
A confessional black comedy about human hypocrisy and the struggle to remain good.
Following her sell-out show The Profit at High Tide in 2018, Amy returns to The Lookout with this intimate new show about longing, belonging and climbing into sea shells.
In 2017, Amy received an anonymous email selecting her for “Humanitarian Charity Work”. It felt like a calling: to change the world, or to make a new show. Weaving clown, character and autobiography, this searingly ambiguous performance treads an exquisite line between hope and despair, connection and isolation.
