“You’ve left a legacy with us. We’ll be talking about this for years to come.”

Audience member on The Profit, at HighTide Festival Aldeburgh 2018

Amy Gwilliam presents a work in progress performance of .staybless

'What do the Virgin Mary, a blue penguin and a refugee have in common?'

A confessional black comedy about human hypocrisy and the struggle to remain good.

Following her sell-out show The Profit at the HighTide Festival Aldeburgh in 2018, Amy returns to The Lookout with this intimate new show about longing, belonging and climbing into sea shells.

In 2017, Amy received an anonymous email selecting her for “Humanitarian Charity Work”. It felt like a calling: to change the world, or to make a new show. Weaving clown, character and autobiography, this searingly ambiguous performance treads an exquisite line between hope and despair, connection and isolation.

Date & Time:
Fri 13 Sep 2.15pm, Sat 14 Sep 12.30pm & 4pm, Sun 15 Sep 11.30am & 2pm at Aldeburgh Beach Lookout

Running time: 1h
Age recommendation: 14+

We regret that the Lookout venue does not have step-free access.

“Amy Gwilliam is most definitely a talent to watch out for. Her writing is tight, witty, pithy and clever. Her performance was well paced, confident, fluid, enticing and very, very convincing.”
