Join us for an in depth conversation between director Tom Harper and actors Jessie Buckley and James Norton hosted by Helen Atkinson Wood.

Tom Harper is a British film and television director, best known for his recent BBC presentation of War & Peace.

Tom‘s other work in television includes Channel 4’s Misfits, and This is England ’86 and BBC’s Peaky Blinders. His first feature film The Scouting Book for Boys premiered in 2010 to widespread critical acclaim, and since then Tom has directed two further feature films – The Woman in Black: Angel of Death and War Book, both of which have enjoyed strong international success.

Tom is currently directing the pilot of The Son, an adaptation of Phillip Meyer’s acclaimed novel for AMC in the United States and will discuss his work behind War & Peace and other hit presentations.

Jessie Buckley played Princess Marya Bolkonskaya in War & Peace and she is also well known for ITV’s I’d Do Anything. Jessie’s acclaimed stage work includes Amadeus at Chichester Festival Theatre and The Tempest at Shakespeare’s Globe, for which she came runner-up for the prestigious Ian Charleston Award.

James Norton is best known for roles in the British TV series Happy Valley, Grantchester and War & Peace. For his role as ex-convict Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley, Norton was nominated for the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2015.
 
Other television credits include Death Comes to Pemberley and Blandings (BBC). Theatre credits include Bug (Found 111), The Lion in Winter (West End), Journey’s End (West End) and Posh (Royal Court).
