HighTide Festival Aldeburgh 2017

Festival Venues

The Mix

Aldeburgh Seafront, IP15 5DS

This year, HighTide Festival will be centred around a brand new multipurpose temporary venue called The Mix by studio three sixty. At the heart of The Mix is a magical and architecturally striking performance space, with the auditorium seating specially developed by pioneering furniture designer Felix de Pass. The Mix contains state of the art technology equipment to create a unique experience for its audience. We are very excited to be bringing The Mix to HighTide Festival and Suffolk for the very first time this year.

Aldeburgh Cinema

51 High Street, IP15 5AU

The Aldeburgh Cinema is one of the UK’s oldest independent cinemas and this charity-run cinema is approaching its 100th year in operation. Coffees, teas, and alcoholic beverages are served as well as cinema snacks, with a private garden that makes for the perfect sun trap.

The Garage

(rear of) 152 High Street, Aldeburgh, IP15 5AQ

Owned and managed by Snape Maltings, The Garage is a visual arts space that plays host to arts exhibitions throughout the year. Situated opposite the East Coast Café, The Garage will house a number of readings, work-in-progress productions and conversations as part of HighTide Festival 2017.

Jubilee Hall

Crabbe Street, IP15 5PN

In 1887, to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall was developed into “a performing arts venue for the people of Aldeburgh”. In 1948, the Jubilee Hall became the home of the first Aldeburgh Festival and has since been the venue for many significant performances providing a richly diverse programme of events.
